United States Circulating Coins that I designed and sculpted.
While employed as a Sculptor / Engraver at the United States Mint in Philadelphia, I was fortunate to have 4 of my designs selected to grace the Reverses of circulating United States coins. The soaring bald eagle Reverse of the original Sacagawea Dollar, and the Maryland, Massachusetts, and South Carolina Quarter Dollar Reverses, were all selected for the year 2000.
I was also honored to have my design of a flying American bald eagle, appear on the first United States Platinum Bullion coin ever struck in the year 1997.
Years after resuming a freelance sculpture in 2001, I was contacted by the U.S. Mint to submit designs for several projects, and my design to honor the Native American Code Talkers was chosen for the Reverse of the 2016 Sacagawea $1.
